Summer Sessions is hosting a variety of lectures, movies and concerts this week. All events will take place at the Murie Building Auditorium unless otherwise noted.
Wednesday, July 24
5:30 — 6:30 p.m. — Family Fitness Wednesday: Join us for this activity of an hour of TRX suspension training, a group fitness class with a twist and not your traditional work out. An experienced trainer will lead this energizing training. Ages 10 and up at the Student Recreation Center, FREE ENTRY and PARKING: Patty Center parking lot.
7 p.m. — Discover Alaska Lecture: “Frost and Fire: Alaska’s changing climate” with Nancy Fresco, Research Scientist and Network Coordinator, Scenarios Network for Alaska and Arctic Planning (SNAP)
Thursday, July 25
7 p.m. — Music in the Garden with St. Animal. Inspired by reggae, rap and folk, St. Animal is the newest band on the Fairbanks Folk circuit but is composed of seasoned musicians with energy and enthusiasm.
7 p.m. — REEL History night – And We Knew How to Dance: Women in World War I (1994) Twelve Canadian women, aged 86 to 101, recall their entry into what had been a male world of munitions factories and farm labor. (70 mins)

7 p.m. — Healthy Living Lecture: “Local Healthcare Perspectives” with Dr. Todd Capistrant, DO and James Shill CEO of Tanana Valley Clinic

7 p.m. — Discover Alaska Lecture: “Midnight Sun Land Aurora” with Dr. Neal Brown, Professor Emeritus of the Geophysical Institute
