The third annual Fairbanks GeoFest is Saturday, Nov. 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Wood Center on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus.

The event is part of Alaska’s statewide Geography Awareness Week and includes free, hands-on activities for children and families.

This year’s theme, “Declare Your Interdependence,” explores the idea that we are all are connected to the rest of the world through the decisions we make on a daily basis.

The event is hosted by the UA Geography Program and Alaska Geography Alliance.
